The COP 22 marks the beginning of a new cycle of COPs: COPs of action. For all stakeholders, today’s challenge is to identify the tools that will permit the implementation of the commitments made last December. Thus, this will also be the COP of innovation: innovative ideas, tools, and solutions. This is why we are organising multiple side events in Marrakesh on the sidelines of the COP 22, as a part of our InnovaCOP initiative, a platform of action and interaction for innovation. The Bridge Tank, which pays particular attention to the development of inclusive growth models in Africa, will participate on the 24th of May at the conference “Economic Cooperation Morocco France: New Partnerships for New Horizons”, organised at the headquarters of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Regional Council.
The 3rd Dakhla International Meeting, organized under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, was held 3—4 December 2015 on the theme “New economic territories, actors and factors in emergence, comparative international experiences”. At this event, Joël Ruet, president of The Bridge Tank, foregrounded Morocco’s signals of emergence, be it industrial diversification or the enhancement of its natural capital. In the lead up to COP21, The Bridge Tank’s president Joël Ruet attended a dinner at the French Senate with Mrs Hakima El Haité, Minister Delegate in Charge of Environment in Morocco, where COP22 will be hosted in 2016 and, in her words, “continue the line of COP21”.
